Degrees of adjectives comparison(Степені порівняння прикметників)
Прикметники в англійській мові не змінюються за кількістю чи відмінком, вони змінюються за ступенями порівняння. Це стосується якісних прикметників. Відносні прикметники ступенів порівняння не мають.

Ступенів порівняння якісних прикметників в англійській три: 1. Позитивна (positive). Прикметник у його звичайному вигляді. big – великий 2. Порівняльна (comparative). Показує, що один об'єкт має більший рівень якості, ніж інший. Утворюється за допомогою суфікса - er -Часто використовується з приводом than (ніж). bigger – більше 3. Чудова (superlative). Говорить про те, що об'єкт має найвищий ступінь якості. Утворюється за допомогою суфікса - est - the biggest - найбільший/найбільший
